A story has been told that a granddaughter fighting cancer in China relieved a worried grandmother by making her appearance look healthy with artificial intelligence.

According to Hong Kong's South China Morning Post, Guo Zhang, who lives in Heilongjiang Province in northeastern China, lost all her hair and her skin turned pale as she was diagnosed with cancer and underwent strong chemotherapy.

When the grandmother, who had not seen her granddaughter for a long time, wanted to see Guo Zhang, she filmed herself in the hospital bed to reassure her and changed it to a healthy appearance with a bright facial color and rich hair using AI.

Guo Zhang sent the AI-generated photo to her grandmother and asked, "Grandma, am I pretty?" and she was relieved, saying, "My granddaughter is really pretty."
